the presence of mind
I am creating a constantly evolving installation using chipped, scratched, out of date, and damaged items: the discards of domestic, retail, and industrial life. Gathering my found treasures close to hand I start to work, painting, gluing, and cutting. Small shapes confined with wire and wool are tucked in between large pieces of clear acrylic, metal, and wood. Overlapping the discarded and damaged elements allows the reflective layers to distort and reorientate the space.
